Twenty-Ten | The year of the Co-op, collectives, and collaborative
January 1, 2010
Welcome to 2010! Let’s make this the year of Co-op, collectives, and collaborative. Together we can take this year and make a goal to take a good part of the market share from the big corporations by joining together to make better products and give even better services. 5 years ago making any type of co-op, collective or collaborative meant everyone had to be in the same town or even same building; but due to the latest social media and communication tools, we can collaborate 500+ miles away!
There are tools I’ve focused on in the past entries about telecommunication, file storage, and document creation that can be used to organize ideas, manage clients, and manage projects via a web browser. Online marketing has also simplified to a point that we can use Google or other major Ad companies to generate leads and bring potential clients our way in other countries. The ubiquity of high-speed internet has created a gateway for live collaboration in idea and white board sessions with a partner around the world. Thanks to the current state of the economy there are many talented individuals that can stop looking for the next 9-5 job and start looking for the next big idea with people all around the world.
I’m pumped about this year and I hope you are too! That’s my prediction of 2010 (twenty-ten)! What’s your prediction?
